Irene graduated from the School of Architecture at the University of A Coruña in Spain in 2007 and is currently working as a cross-disciplines artist. She works in different fields to explore new ways of making the city. Her work explores the idea of the urban environment progression and relations with the past and the future in terms of emptiness and construction.

She is interested in giving new meanings to places and to provoke reactions where the spectator should be active, where the memory is in charge to communicate a unique moment. Confronting the past with the aim to understand the future.

Her work has been exhibited in Santiago de Compostela, Barcelona, Geneva, London and Shanghai.

Since 2017, she is active at “la fabrique de l’espace.” (www.lafabriquedelespace.com).

Currently, she is living and working in Geneva.
